Kongal Park has 400 elite Stud ewes with plain bodies, loose skin, and long staple wool producing excellent quality rams. This direction has come with the guidance of Sheep Advisor Stuart Hodgson. The careful selection of high quality rams and semen has allowed the Stud to retain size and wool cut along with the elite wool the Stud is known for.

 

Kongal Park 150 sire by KP50 the single entry from Kongal park in 2011 Royal Adelaide Show won Grand Champion Ram’s fleece. This fleece measured 20 micron 79% yield 99.5% CF 11.7Kgs 150 mls in length. The ram weighed 150 Kgs at 2 years. Progeny of this ram will be available in the 2012 Sale.

The Stud will have 50 top Merino Poll Rams for sale with current tests at the on-property sale.

 

Kongal park wool for the last six years – hoggets 18.5 mic and ewes 20.5 mic showing consistency with very little change through various types of seasons.
