Top genetics big incentive for Yorke Peninsula clients
The Yorke Peninsula Merino Breeders extend a warm welcome to breeders and visitors to the 2013 field day events that include general displays and auctions.
Variable seasons have created the demand for bloodlines which have a proven track record in producing early maturing sheep with greater returns under easy management programs.
Yorke Peninsula Merino Breeders continue to buy quality rams and semen from the best sources to ensure that they are breeding sheep that make dollars for you the client.
During 2012 the price for meat and wool has remained steady and with that we need to keep breeding top genetics to give producers the incentive to once again have efficient, productive sheep on their property. Young ewe hoggets and lamb prices remain strong with sheep of local bloodlines selling well to the end of 2012.
A sincere ‘thank you’ to our individual sponsors and we look forward to seeing you at our field days so you can experience the Yorke Peninsula hospitality.
