On behalf of the South East Stud Merino Sheep Breeders Association it gives me great pleasure to invite anyone interested in the sheep industry to visit our 2018 Merino Field Day in July.
The vast majority of participating studs and service industries will have displays undercover in the Keith Indoor Stadium.
There will also be food and drinks available at this venue, allowing you to fully enjoy the day regardless of the prevailing weather conditions.
The exceptional sale results achieved by members within the SE group in recent years, along with the outstanding commercial quality being presented annually at the local off-shears sales, vindicates our belief that the genetic quality available within our region is as good as you will see anywhere in the country.
Also, to be able to talk to, question and tap into the progressive knowledge of the many individual breeders within the group presents a wonderful opportunity to advance your own breeding program.
Both the wool and sheep markets are at an unprecedented highs at present, with market indicators giving a very positive outlook. This is certainly a time that Merino sheep producers can invest in top genetics with the utmost confidence.
As a group we are proud of the quality we will showcase and I will say, “if you only go to one Merino field day this year, make it this one.”
Great sheep – great venue – great day.
